Our first presidential visit in 11 years today as President Biden travels to the great state of Wisconsin for a visit to the LIUNA Training Center in DeForest this afternoon.  This is a training center for various trade professions including things like, concrete pouring, pipe laying, masonry and environmental remediation courses.   The president is expected to promote the economic plan he announced last night during his  State of the Union address to Congress.  This is our first visit from a sitting president since President Obama traveled here to make one last pitch to voters on the eve of the 2013 presidential campaign trail.   Madison PD confirms some very brief road closures between Truax Field and DeForest for the presidential motorcade but traffic should not be disrupted for the evening commute.
