New research out today says having more than a couple children can definitely affect your mind! Researchers at Columbia University found that raising three or more kids may increase your cognitive decline or even accelerate certain types of dementia later in life. Researchers found rearing three or more kids is the equivalent of adding over 6 years to your actual age ;( The study says lots of kids costs more money, incurring considerable more financial costs thus reducing family income and standard of living which in turn causes stress and worry which are both factors in decline in cognition -
Having additional children curbs women's career choices and hours they work and your professional work life i m p r o v e s cognitive functioning. The dinosaur that made 'Jurassic Park' ........
Christie's Auction House sells a dinosaur skeleton of 'Deinonychus antirrhopus' or as we have come to know him, the T-Rex-- the skeleton went for almost three times what they were expecting - $12.4 million. After the 1993 film made the species one of the world's most recognizable dinosaurs. The skeleton, affectionately known as 'Hector', within the auction house confines - goes to a private, undisclosed investor. This continues a recent trend of high price fossil sales..... worrying many paleontologists who explain these specimens could be lost to science when they go to the highest bidder instead of public institutions. The original film, 'Jurassic Park', made $192 million in it's original theatrical release - so - producers, technically, could have afforded the now famous model.

How'd Cinco de Mayo become more popular in the U-S than Mexico???
Today - NOT Mexico's Independence Day as many falsely believe .... but instead the 5th of May celebrates a come from behind victory for the now much celebrated Mexican army's victory over the French in 1862, 'The Battle of Puebla'. So fast forward to more and more Mexican- Americans who start celebrating the unlikely win here in the States. Then more momentum during the heightened Chicano Movement during the 60's and 70's -- then, wait, there's more.... the commercialization that skyrocketed with marketing campaigns around the country. So while technically not honoring Mexico's Independence but still a monumental day in Mexico's history and a big party day now here across the U-S.
