Jen is our plaintiff in this Country Courthouse case.  She is upset because her brother, Calvin and (former) friend, Melissa our defendant — are dating.  She’s upset because her brother was married to another friend in their group, Kat.  Kat died about a year ago after battling cancer – during which time Melissa and Calvin kind of reconnected during the process of letting go and saying good-bye to Kat.  Jen and her family thing Calvin needs a proper grieving period – Melissa says – be happy for him, life’s too short –
