Madison Restaurants Shine Bright!

Five Madison chefs honored as semi-finalists for the prestigious restaurant award,  The James Beard Award.  An extraordinary five nominations for chefs in the city  — the most known for our city in the history of this national award.  Awards to be announced March 29th –

*Andrew Hutchison  nominated in the category of pastry chef at Madison Sourdough, a French patisserie and coffee bar on Madison’s near east side/ Williamson Street.

*Jamie Hoang nominated for Best Emerging Chef at Ahan Madison featuring Asian-inspired dishes using local ingredients.

*Itaru Nagaro & Andrew Kroeger at Fairchild Restaurant nominated for Best Chef Midwest. Fairchild’s on Monroe known for large portions of well executed classics and  seasonal Italian fare plus an extensive wine list.

*Francesco Mangarro at Osteria Papavero nominated for Best Chef Midwest – located in the heart of downtown, rustic Italian from Chef Francesco who hails from Bologna.
