Great News From the Beltline!
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says our new flex lanes are doing their job. Since opening in July the DOT says average travel times on the Beltline have improved by more than 30% ( this in the past two months) in spite of traffic volume actually INcreasing. The DOT says drivers are saving an average up to 15 minutes on their commutes. The new lane(s) opened this summer amid a mix of fanfare and grumpiness. The extra lane intended to decrease traffic congestion by opening the left-hand shoulders during morning and afternoon rush hours. Beep Beep ….
