Space Geek Auction

Buzz Aldrin’s Apollo 11 moon landing  jacket set for auction and could fetch up to $2-million! This is the only garment that’s flown into space that is still privately owned — and that — is a big deal.   Southeby’s Auction House says the coat is one of many items owned by the astronaut that will be up for auction tomorrow, Tuesday, July 26th.  Aldrin says the time is right for these historical mementos to be passed on to the rest of the world.    The ‘Buzz Aldrin: American Icon’  sale will be a live auction featuring  69 items.  Tomorrow’s event  kicking off Sotheby’s ‘Geek Week’ series consisting of four sales celebrating science and discovery.   Get out your piggy bank 😉
