Amazon confirming this week they are ready to offer deliveries through Amazon Prime Air. It will use drones to drop off packages weighing less than 5 pounds for customers eligible under Prime Air.  Amazon predicts thousands will use the service; you receive an estimated time of arrival and status tracker for your package.  Delivery drones will descend into your backyard and once it gets low enough the drone releases the merchandise and flies back off home.  First customers to receive the option will be in California but the program is predicted to expand quickly nationwide.  Wow – the future is now!
