Grand Theft Auto V Sparks Violence

There has been a lot of hype around Grand Theft Auto V, which was released yesterday. According to New Guy Jackson, this hype is warranted. The game has been praised for its impressive graphics.

This video game series is known for its violent storylines and graphics, but the most recent installment has received some backlash because of its torture scenes. Over the years, there have been debates about whether or not violent video games encourage violent behavior in the children who play them.

This question has been brought to life in Colindale, London, where a 23 year old man was attacked while on his way home from purchasing Grand Theft Auto V. The man was hit with a brick and then stabbed before he was robbed.

It is believed that the man was specifically targeted after he was seen waiting in line at an Asda supermarket for the midnight release of the video game. The attackers took the man's watch, phone, and, of course, the video game. The man is recovering in the hospital and is said to be in stable condition.

Three teenagers, aged 15, 16, and 18, were arrested in the area and are being questioned in relation to the incident.

The Grand Theft Auto trailer is featured below. What are your reactions to the violent aspects of the game?
