The Shania Twain Centre in Timmins Ontario Canada that was built to celebrate the country stars mega success will be closing it's doors after being sold to a mining company.
The centre that was funded by tax money opened 12 years ago was a money pit and cost the residents of Timmins $4 million, Canada might be better than the U.S. at wasting tax money if this is the stuff they spend it on. Mining company Globalcorp plans to delevolpe a new open pit mining site next to where the centre was located.
Apparently there was a lack of support from Timmins residents who prefer a giant hole in the earth to a museum for their home grown super star. As of press time no word has been released on the status of the Alan Thick Museum or the Celine Dion Hall Of Music.
What celebrity museum would you pay to get into?
