Rebuilding Together - They rebuild homes and help families return to their house. Low-income homeowners are among the most vulnerable and least able to repair or replace a damaged home.
15 million dogs, 14 million cats and 1.5 million horses were in Hurricane Sandy's path, all of the animal shelters are at capacity - the ASPCA is organizing Hurricane Sandy relief and rescue, 10,000 animals are in need of supplies just in Queens alone. They are currently sending boat teams into parts of NYC/NJ to recover pets and reunite them with owners.
