2/16/12- Jana Kramer video. Why Ya Wanna?
2/15/12- Got to do something I may have never done before in my radio career. Played an artist's song on the radio, and it was the first time he'd ever heard it on the air! Thomas Rhett did a Q106 Sound Lounge performance, then stopped up in the studio for a quick pic, and then headed out. Shortly thereafter, I played his new song, "Something To Do With My Hands," and he heard it in the car, and texted back "that's the first time I've heard it on the radio. What an experience!" For me, too, TR.
2/13/12- No appliances for your sweetie! I learned early on. Appliances can be great, but not for showing romantic love, on Valentine's Day. Back away from the food processor!
2/7/12- Happy 50th, Garth! Since I love baseball, too, had to include a Garth baseball pic.
1/31/12- So, why do we think they're playing On Wisconsin in this Pepsi Super Bowl TV ad? What the...??
1/30/12- Ferris Bueller.... well, not exactly. If you were hoping for a full-blown return of FB for the SB, looks like this is as close as you'll get....
1/27/12- Finally got to meet Brantley Gilbert! Yes, it's a standard backstage shot, but that's all I've got!. The pretty one is my wife, Mary.1/26/12- I really like the new Eli Young Band single, Even If It Breaks Your Heart. From the moment I first heard it, I thought, "well, the guys in the band must have grown up hearing their parents' Tom Petty records." Tell me this song couldn't be a Tom Petty song! Then, tell me that it couldn't be Learning to Fly.
1/24/12- Wanna make a nomination for the ACMs? Check it out- you can nominate your faves in this first-ever thing!
1/12/12- Check out which guitar is hanging closest to the Today's Q106 studio door? It's no coincidence....
1/11/12- Saw this car today in the parking lot at Copps on Whitney Way. What's going on here?
1/9/12- Madison is the Windy City. At least for today. Check out the guy I found on the bike path on Lake Monona this morning!
1/4/12- Could this be the worst drink ever? I say, "oh, yes." Check out the recipe for the "Salmon Colada."
12/14/11- Two pretty cool guitar dudes in one room. Brad and John Fogerty. Love 'em both!
12/12/11- For the Christmas-frazzled mom. You know you are not alone! This is not written by my wife, Mary. But I know it COULD be written by her, or any number of friends and relatives of ours. Here's to you, Mom, the emotional trailer hitch of Christmas!
thought, "what would I get if I Googled "perfect Packers?" Not what I was expecting, but I get it. Just hope they like the Green Bay flavor of American Football in Burlington, Canada.
12/5/11- Tree secured. Xmas card photo, too. Do you take the fam out to a tree farm to hunt down the perfect Christmas tree, like we do? For years we would have everybody together for a quick family photo that would become a Christmas card. But since our oldest, Max, is away at school, we've had to Photoshop him in the past few years. We posted the photo to his Facebook account, to which he quickly commented by saying "that outing was so fun!"
11/29/11- "Testing, Testing." Inside the Capitol today. Lookin' good! Thanks @MissPronouncer for the photo.
11/22/11- How lucky are we? Yeah, they're great players, but they also seem to be great people. Let's hear it for Ryan Braun and Aaron Rodgers. Thank you for being a great example of a good human being. And for kicking butt on the field...

10/31/11- With Little Big Town at Capitol Theater last night. My wife, Mary, and I loved the "Thriller" opener they did, including Eric Paslay (opening act) crawling out from beneath the drum riser, doing the creepy dead man dance. Happy Halloween!

10/27/11- Freak somebody out this weekend by finding the dead people on Bascom Hill-
I didn't know this, did you? There are two people buried there, close to Abe. Check it out.10/26/11- Good dog! I know you love your dog as much as I love mine. But does your significant other love you like your dog, or like Billy Currington's dog?
10/25/11- Makes me love LBT even more!
10/21/11- Guess which college basketball team we love has outperformed its preseason rank more than any other? BEST part is when you discover which team as underperformed more than any other- ha! Take a look.10/20/11- What show are you most likely to DVR? Think about it for a sec, then see what the results are below.....

Most DVR’d Shows
“Modern Family” may not be the highest-rated comedy on TV, but it’s the one most viewers catch up with on their DVRs. Through the first two weeks of the new fall season, an average of 4.5 million viewers watched a recording of “Modern Family” after it aired, Nielsen said. Other shows that a lot of people are watching later are “Two and a Half Men.” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Terra Nova.” By percentage, the two-week champ is “Fringe.” NBC’s ratings this season are terrible but DVR viewing is dramatically adding viewers to “Parenthood,” “Prime Suspect” and “Up All Night.” A look at DVR numbers could be the reason “Pan Am” is still around but “Charlie’s Angels” is not. Both shows had the same number of viewers. But a lot more people also record “Pan Am” and watch it later. As of now, the TV series with the top DVR shows of the season are:
| 1. “Two and a Half Men” | 6. “How I Met Your Mother” |
| 2. “Modern Family” | 7. “NCIS” |
| 3. “New Girl” | 8. “Family Guy” |
| 4. “2 Broke Girls” | 9. “Grey’s Anatomy” |
| 5. “The Big Bang Theory” | 10. “X-Factor” (Wednesday) |
10/18/11- Stamps up a penny. Who cares?
Remember when that used to tick you off, hearing that stamps were going up? Today the
Just doesn't impact me or my family anymore. We pay bills online, and send a ton of email. Only things we ever mail are Christmas cards and, honestly, if it's only gonna cost a penny more next year, I say big deal.
If only gas went up by just a penny... once every coupla years. THAT would be a big deal.
10/14/11- I LOVE the new Chris Young song, "You." SOOOO smooth! His video was just released today- check it out.
10/12-11- Congratulations to Kevin Kleppe of Hollandale who won the Keith Urban Backstage Experience today! Kevin figured out that we had hidden the tickets in Badger football coach Bret Bielema's desk drawer.
10/11/11-Keith Urban with Ellen today- pretty good, especially Ellen's comments about "Keith's wife."
10/10/11- The Bucky Wagon is coming back for homecoming this week!
