I’m going to accomplish Soberary, mostly. Each year in February, I take the month off from drinking. Through the holidays, it seems like I’m drinking all the time, so figured it was good to give the liver a chance to dry out.
Say mostly accomplish because I actually start after the Super Bowl which is generally the first Sunday of February. The actual date is February 7, 2016, so really, it’s going to be about 3 weeks of no drinking as I’ll be partaking again on February 28th at the next Today’s Q106 Story Tellers Jam.
My other goal is to stay in better shape. Stay is the key word. If you know me, you know I’m 6’3 and athletic in build. Looks can be deceiving.
Each year at the annual check up, the doctor always says, “You’re in pretty good shape.” Well, the problem is every time I lose 10 pounds, and exercise a little bit more, I stop after accomplishing the goal.
I would like to develop the habit of working out at least 4 days a week, and stay in better shape instead of getting into shape, and then allowing myself to get into additional shapes the rest of the year.
