Going through the toy box in mum and dad’s basement during visits is always an interesting adventure. Mum has portioned out the childhood toys of each of the brothers. Yes, believe it or not, some toys did survive a house of 4 boys.
She’s always asking, “What do you want me to do with this stuff?” Always reply, “Get rid of it, I’m never going to play with them again.”
She’s confident one day my kids will. She’s right. Each of us brothers would confess our best toys growing up were the ones our father had as a child in the 40s. Mothers always know.
What was your best gift?
