My favorite word is colloquialism. Had to look it up. Not because of not knowing the definition, but because I couldn’t spell it (FTR, forgot the a).
Anyway, other than the absence of a northern accent, the fastest way to tell someone isn’t from around here, is how they phrase things, and the synonym they use in descriptions. However, it seems like the state is split just like the non glaciated areas when it comes to WisconsinER vs WisconsinITE. Which do you prefer?
