Cleaning products are packed with toxic chemicals, check out the list to see if your products are on it. This week the Environmental Working Group released its 2012 Guide to Healthy Cleaning, a list of more than 2,000 household cleaning products that are graded according to health safety.
On the ‘F’ list: Method dish soap in fresh currant, which got dinged for colorants that can cause damage to DNA and carry a risk for cancer; and Clorox Clinging Bleach Gel toilet bowl cleaner, for which there was a high concern of sodium hypochlorite causing skin irritation and allergies.
